BMI restrictions are prevalent in birth centers. This presentation provides evidence-based insights that challenge the necessity of these restrictions and proposes ways for low-risk individuals in larger bodies to access birth center care. Attendees will explore weight bias and discover practical strategies to support higher-weight individuals, promoting respectful and effective communication and care that enhances the birthing experience for all expectant parents.
