AABC Community Agreements

AABC has adopted a set of Community Agreements for the community to share space respectfully and with accountability. Please review the agreements and accountability guidelines on BirthCenters.org. All participants will be asked to indicate acceptance of these community agreements when they register.

Consent to Use of Photographic Images

Registration and attendance at, or participation in, AABC meetings and other activities constitutes an agreement by the registrant to the use and distribution of the registrant or attendees' image or voice in photographs, videotapes, electronic reproductions and audiotapes of such events and activities by AABC and other third parties, including but not limited to the venue, the host city, and the host CVB.

CANCELLATION POLICY

To be eligible for a refund, a notice of cancellation must be received two weeks (10 business days) before the conference by the AABC office (215.234.8068 | aabc@birthcenters.org). A 15% processing fee will be deducted from each refund.

Alternatively, you may elect to transfer your registration to another person for no additional charge.

CHILD CARE POLICY

Breastfeeding babies up to 6 months of age who remain quiet may attend sessions with their mothers. You may find it easier to have a support person accompany you to watch your baby outside the meeting between feedings. If you plan to bring your baby to the conference, please respect the needs and desires of other registrants and arrange care for your baby outside the room if he/she becomes disruptive (i.e. making noises – happy or sad).

EVENT CANCELLATION OR POSTPONEMENT

AABC reserves exclusive right to modify, postpone/reschedule or cancel programs for any reason, including but not limited to emergency, inclement weather or other 'acts of God'.  If there is an event cancellation, every attempt will be made to reschedule, and registration fees will be applied to the rescheduled event date.  Any travel, lodging, or incidental expenses incurred related to a cancelled event cannot be refunded under any circumstances.  If a cancelled event cannot be rescheduled, AABC will determine an equitable basis for the refund of a portion or all of the registration fees, after due consideration of circumstances and expenditures.
