Burnout in Birth Work and Trauma Informed Care

Pre-Conference Workshop

DATE: Thursday, November 7th
TIME: 8:00am - 12:00pm
FACULTY: Christie Davis, CPM, RM, CCFPT

Through the lens of Somatic Experiencing we take a tour of the nervous system and learn how it integrates and stores our experiences and how those can be felt as Trauma, both Primary and Secondary and how this can lead to Burnout and Compassion Fatigue. I offer practical skills to heal, identify and prevent these career killing reactions. I help participants learn how to feel safe in their work, and then we turn the focus to helping our clients with a history of Trauma feel safe in our care.
